Little Wolves is a tabletop role-playing game of folktales, werewolves, and fae queens in The Enchanted Forest. In it, players craft and wear the masks and fur of young-at-heart shapeshifters exploring a forest filled with magic and mystery.

As they complete quests and favors for their queens and the denizens of their courts, these werewolves grow and players decorate masks to reflect the lessons they learn, experiences they share, and stories they create together.

This is a Demo!

This is an incomplete sampling of the final text, layout, and art of the game, which will be crowdfunding for a full print run & final release starting on May 14th, 2024.

This demo also serves as a quick-start adventure for the full game! The characters you play here can easily be brought over to the final version and used in a continuing story.

What's within these pages?

While this doesn’t have everything the final release will, it’s still loaded with more than enough for you to run the included adventure as a one-shot, and it’ll give you a delightful taste of the mysterious world of The Enchanted Forest. In this version, you’ll find:

  • The main mechanics & resolution system
  • A few areas of the setting, and information on the Fae Queens and their courts.
  • 4 pre-built characters ready for adventure
  • Paper Masks with instructions to print and craft
  • A starter quest that can lead to a full campaign

To play, you’ll need:

  • 2-6 players, with one to act as the Guide
  • At least 4 six-sided dice (d6)
  • Pens, paper, and crafting supplies to start

In the final version...

Once the crowdfunding campaign funds, we’ll be able to work on finishing the game for digital & print release. In addition to everything mentioned above, the final release will include:

  • More setting details, including expanded lore and descriptions for all of the courts and their queens
  • More creatures and denizens
  • Character advancement options, including more abilities
  • Multiple quest hooks for each court

While the game itself looks great ... ambigrams are pretty but they are notoriously hard to read. I'm afraid I find your cover logo completely illegible. Maybe move it to the title page and create something more readable for the cover?

Thank you for this comment!

I absolutely understand this, and it was given a lot of thought before the cover was finalized. The spine and back cover text will be legible. The page immediately behind the cover will also have the title spelled out. The plain text won't be far away.

The experiment at play here is that perhaps a mysterious cover will encourage people to pick up and open the book.
